Vincent Crotty

Varsity Baseball – Vince was a three-year Varsity member playing shortstop. He was awarded All League and 1st Team All County honors in 2009 as well as team Co-MVP in his junior year.
In the beginning of the 2008 season, Vince came up to the varsity as a sophomore second baseman and proved he could play.

In 2009 he was sensational at shortstop and led the team in hitting with a .420 average.
He was perhaps the greatest lead-off hitter in Suffern baseball history.
Vince had great offensive and defensive stats, but most importantly, his team first attitude was vital to the Mounties success. He had a great way of keeping things in perspective.

Varsity Basketball – Vince was a two-year varsity basketball player at the shooting guard position and earned awards as a 2010 All League player as well as a 2010 All County selection by the Journal News sports writers.
During his senior year Vince made a remarkable 53 three-point shots (best in Rockland County and second most in Section One).
His 40% shooting percentage from behind the three-point line was also excellent. This qualifies Vince as one of the best three-point shooters in school history. He made five or more three-point shots in one game six times and seven in one game twice.
Vince was frequently called upon to make a big shot after a time-out or at the end of game and provided a big spark to the team with his shooting.
He was a team-first player and often  passed up shots to get the ball inside to our post-up players. He worked hard on his passing, and his unselfish play is demonstrated by the fact that he was second on the team with 63 assists.

Vince was instrumental in the success of the team this season.
